A P2P EV charging app connects EV owners who need to charge their vehicles with hosts who own private chargers. Instead of relying only on public stations, drivers can also charge at nearby residential or commercial locations listed by verified hosts.
Drivers use the app to locate, book, and pay for charging sessions. Hosts list their chargers, set availability and pricing, and get paid when other users charge at their location..
Currently, we’re launching in select markets (Dallas, Houston, and Washington D.C.) with plans to expand nationwide soon.
Open the app and tap “Map.” The map will show nearby hosts with available chargers. You can filter by connector type, pricing, and rating.
You can find Level 2 residential chargers, Level 2 Managed Chargers, which are chargers who's APIs we are integrated with, and occasionally DC Fast Chargers, depending on host availability.
Yes, you can cancel before the scheduled start time. Refund policies depend on how soon you cancel before the session.
There are two scenarios for this policy:
For Pre-Bookings you will receive a full refund up to an hour before your appointment, if within 1 hour you will be charged for 50% of your booking cost. This is to cover our hosts opportunity cost.
For Real-Time Bookings if outside of 5 miles of the charger you will not be charged. If within 5 miles then you will be charged 50% of your booking cost.
Simply register through the app, verify your account, and list your charger. You can add details like pricing, charger type, and available time slots.
Earnings vary based on your charger type, location, and availability. Most hosts can earn between $75–$200/month in active areas.
Most Level 2 and Level 3 chargers (e.g., J1772, NACS, CCS) are supported. You’ll just need a stable power source and Wi-Fi connection if using a smart charger.
Payouts are made weekly to your connected bank account or payment wallet through our secure payment processor.
The app updates in real-time. Chargers marked “Green” are ready to use; “Orange” means they have an upcoming reservation. In-use chargers will not be seen on the map until they become available again.
You can report an issue directly through the app. Our team investigates and assists in finding an alternative charging spot immediately. support@ohmiccharge.com
